Adapting to Protect: Oasis’ 2025 Impact Report

Last year, we stood by individuals and families navigating some of their lives' most challenging moments. 2025 was a tough and often heartbreaking year in immigration work, but we also saw extraordinary commitment and care from our partners and supporters. We are proud to share Oasis Legal Services’ 2025 Impact Report and reflect on what we have been able to do together. The report highlights the milestones we have reached, the resilience of our clients, and the ongoing work of our team to provide life-changing services to LGBTQ+ immigrants. 

In 2025, LGBTQ+ immigrants faced unprecedented challenges. News headlines included:

• “Trump Orders Erase Federal Recognition of Gender Identity,”

• “Order Seeks to End Birthright Citizenship”

• “ICE Allowed to Arrest at Schools, Churches, and Hospitals”

• “Immigrants Required to Register Federally”

• “All Asylum Decisions Suspended”

These policies created fear, confusion, and instability for our clients and community.

Our 2025 Impact Report is organized month by month, capturing what we accomplished in the face of these attacks:

• Responding to policy shifts, 

• Countering misinformation, 

• Strengthening partnerships, and 

• Standing alongside our clients in moments where timing, preparation, and advocacy meant the difference between detention and freedom.

While new harmful policies continue to threaten our communities, this report also highlights what endures: resilient clients, committed staff, and partners like you who make this work possible.
