Internships

Interns play a vital role in advancing Oasis’ mission.

Whether supporting clients directly, conducting research, or helping strengthen community partnerships, you’ll gain hands-on experience in immigration law, social services, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ immigrants.

We collaborate with universities, community programs, and fellowships to offer meaningful, supervised placements that combine learning with impact.

My summer with Oasis during a time of tremendous uncertainty in the immigration system reminded me that all of us, no matter our role, have a part to play. I was inspired not only by the hard work and dedication of the attorneys and staff I met and my fellow interns, but also the resilience and bravery of clients seeking asylum. As a law student, I learned not only the substantive law of asylum, but also about the work of providing direct client services that has inspired me to continue to volunteer with Oasis and other legal nonprofits.
