Volunteer
Volunteers are at the heart of Oasis.
From interpreters to attorneys, communications support, and event coordination, every role helps create a welcoming community where LGBTQ+ immigrants find safety and belonging. We all have a role to play in transforming lives. At Oasis, you’ll grow, learn, and connect along the way.
Pro bono attorneys are a vital part of Oasis’ mission. By sharing their skills, attorneys expand access to life-changing legal services for LGBTQ+ immigrants who are rebuilding their lives. For our clients, having a dedicated attorney means more than representation—it means safety, dignity, and the chance to thrive. For pro bono attorneys, it is an opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact while being fully supported by Oasis staff.
A member of our team will contact you within 1 – 2 weeks.
How Attorneys Partner with Oasis
Oasis partners with law firms and individual attorneys committed to supporting our LGBTQ+ immigrant community. Pro bono attorneys help in many ways, including:
Legal Research
Limited-Scope Projects
Full-Scope Representation
No Prior Immigration Experience Needed
Attorneys do not need immigration law experience to volunteer. Our staff attorneys provide robust training and mentorship, and many volunteers find that working with Oasis clients is among the most meaningful experiences of their legal careers.
Time Commitment
Pro bono opportunities generally take place between Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (PST).
Oasis offers a range of volunteer opportunities for individuals who can commit to at least 2 hours per week for 3 months. Below are ways you can share your time and talents.
